A Rock Hounds dream:

Our massive water flume is a mining adventure. You'll find gemstones and mineral specimens. This flume is available to the general public and to school tours wanting to mine for gems. And for more Rock Hound adventures visit our country store with even more specimens, gems, and jewelry.

 

An Educational Adventure for Youth:

An Education Tour Guide demonstrates how various minerals are used in everyday products. Visitors may sift for minerals in our 40 foot flume during School Farm Tours or see a demonstration, or use the flume during Birthday Parties or other events. This hands on experience is perhaps the most powerful way to learn! To conclude the Little Hickory Creek Mining Company tour, your tour guide will share even more minerals and fossil specimens with you while visiting our Gift Shop.

 

Special Treat

For a special treat we offer unopened Geodes of various sizes to open on site. No two Geodes are alike! You’ll also experience rocks that actually glow under certain light conditions.

 

Regular admission is $ 5.00. This includes one bucket/bag of specimen rich soil. Other specimen rich soil mixes available for an additional charge.
